Terms & Conditions
These terms cover how you may use germanlifebox.com and what you can expect from the services sold on it.
This page describes how German LifeBox actually operates. It is not legal advice, and it has not been reviewed by a lawyer.
1. Acceptance
By using this website or buying any service on it, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site. These terms are between you and Bibin Johnson, based at Auf der Schanz 47, 85049 Ingolstadt, Germany.
2. What we offer
German LifeBox publishes free guides, checklists and study tools for people planning to study or train in Germany. Everything on this site is available at no charge.
We are not selling anything at the moment. There are no prices, no checkout and no payment details collected anywhere on this site. If that changes, these terms will be updated before it does.
3. What guidance is — and what it is not
This is the most important section on this page, so it is written plainly.
- German LifeBox provides information, mentoring and preparation support, based on Bibin Johnson's own experience of moving from India to Germany and of helping other students do so.
- We are not a licensed immigration adviser, education agent, recruitment agency, law firm or financial adviser, and nothing on this site is legal, immigration, medical or financial advice.
- We do not submit applications on your behalf, and we do not represent you before any university, embassy, consulate, employer or authority.
- We cannot and do not guarantee any outcome — including admission to any university or Ausbildung position, approval of a visa, an APS certificate, a particular exam grade, or a job. These decisions rest entirely with the relevant institutions and authorities.
- Requirements, fees, deadlines and procedures in Germany change. We work to keep our guides accurate and current, but you must confirm anything that matters against the official source — the German mission handling your application, uni-assist, the APS office, DAAD, or the relevant university or authority — before you act on it.
4. Payment
Nothing on this site is for sale, so there is nothing to pay. No payment provider is integrated and no card, UPI or bank details are collected or stored.
5. Delivery and scheduling
After a successful payment you are directed to a confirmation page where you provide the details we need and, for calls and exams, choose your slot. Please complete that step — without it we have no way to reach you.
Nothing is delivered or booked through this site at present; everything published here is free to download. If you need to move a booked slot, see the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
6. Your responsibilities
- Give accurate information. Advice based on wrong details will be wrong advice.
- Turn up to sessions you book, or reschedule within the notice period.
- Treat Bibin, other members and community moderators with basic respect. We may remove anyone from a community group or session for abusive or disruptive behaviour.
- Do not share, resell, republish or redistribute paid materials, session recordings or community content.
7. Intellectual property
All content on this site — text, guides, checklists, templates, quizzes, layout and branding — belongs to German LifeBox unless stated otherwise. You may use it for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy it for commercial use, or republish it as your own, without written permission.
Third-party names, logos and links referenced on the site remain the property of their owners.
8. Third-party links and partners
Our Essentials page links to services such as blocked-account providers, insurers, banks and mobile operators. Some are affiliate or referral links that may earn us a commission, which never changes the price you pay. We list only services we have researched or used, but each is an independent company: their product, pricing, terms and service quality are theirs, not ours, and your contract is with them. Check their terms before signing up.
9. Limitation of liability
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and under the German Product Liability Act (Produkthaftungsgesetz).
For slight negligence we are liable only where we breach an obligation whose fulfilment makes performing this contract possible at all and on whose observance you may reasonably rely (a so-called cardinal obligation). In that case our liability is limited to the damage that is foreseeable and typical for this kind of contract.
Any further liability is excluded. This does not affect any liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.
Separately, and without limiting your statutory rights: our guides and calls are information, not advice from a regulated adviser, and we are not responsible for decisions you take on them without checking against official sources. See section 3.
10. Suspension
We may suspend or end access to a service if these terms are seriously or repeatedly breached — for example by abusive behaviour or by redistributing paid material. We will tell you why, and where the breach can reasonably be put right we will give you the chance to do so first.
Where we end access for that reason, we refund the part of what you paid that covers the period you can no longer use. We keep payment only for what you have already had the benefit of. Your statutory rights are unaffected.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. The version published here when you buy is the version that applies to that purchase.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by German law. German LifeBox is operated from Ingolstadt, Germany.
If you are a consumer, that choice of law does not take away the protection of any mandatory consumer rules of the country you live in. It also does not limit where you can go to court: a consumer may bring a claim in the courts of the country they live in, and may only be sued there.
If you are not a consumer — if you buy in the course of a business or profession — the place of jurisdiction for any dispute arising from these terms is Ingolstadt, Germany.
